Communion is an active item added in the initial release of Retribution.

Effects

• On use, reverses the trajectory of all enemy projectiles and transforms them into friendly homing tears, and transforms all Troll Bombs into normal bombs with the Bobby-Bomb effect.
  • Friendly tears will deal 3.5 damage.
  • Using Communion will give Isaac a temporary cosmetic appearance, where his mouth would drip with red wine. Entering a new room removes this effect.

Interactions

• Judas + Birthright: Reflected projectiles will gain the Eye of Belial effect, dealing double damage and piercing through enemies.

Trivia

• Communion, more specifically referred to as Holy Communion or Eucharist, is a Christian rite of eating bread and drinking red wine, believed to be instituted by Jesus at the Last Supper. The red wine is supposed to signify the blood of Jesus.
