Crystal Shard is a trinket added in The Burned Out Update.
Effect
- Spawns 1-2
Rune Shards when using a Rune-type consumable.
- Anything that can be mimicked by Clear Rune will trigger the effect of Crystal Shard, this includes Soul Stones.
- If
Rune Rocks are unlocked, doubles the chance for them to spawn. - Destroying Rune Rocks will spawn Rune Shards, as though they were being used like a normal Rune.
Interactions
Trinket Multipliers: For each level of the multiplier, an extra Rune Shard is spawned.
- The chance to spawn a Rune Rock is further increased. The chance multiplier is calculated as follows:
cumulativeGlobalTrinketMultiplier + 1.

- Before it was implemented as this trinket, Crystal Shard was a scrapped design for the effect of
Milk of Baphomet.
