Melatonin is an active item added in The Gacha Update.

Effects

• On use, activates the Paralysis pill effect, preventing Isaac from moving and acting for 2 seconds, and grants the following effects which remain until Isaac leaves the current room:
  • +0.75 tears.
  • Hitting enemies with tears will gradually slow them down. If an enemy is hit with enough tears, the enemy will briefly freeze in place.
• Sleeping in a bed while holding Melatonin grants a Red Heart container.
