Bone Saw is an active item added in The Repentance Update.

Effects

• On use, destroys all nearby Beggars and Shopkeepers, and spawns 2 orbital bone familiars from each one destroyed.
  • Orbital bones deal contact damage equal to Isaac's damage at the time it was spawned and repel enemies that touch them. They block 1 shot or deal 2 ticks of contact damage before being destroyed.
  • Butchering Beggars has a 5% chance to drop a random item from the Bone Saw item pool.

• Butchering a Bomb Bum with the Bone Saw will spawn 3 Troll Bombs.

Interactions

• Book of Virtues: Each Beggar or Shopkeeper destroyed by Bone Saw spawns a bone wisp that shoots tears that look like bones..
• Judas + Birthright: Butchering a Beggar or Shopkeeper spawns 5 orbital bone familiars instead of 2, and has a 50% chance to spawn a Bone Heart.

Trivia

• Bone Saw is a reference to the Medic in the team-based first-person shooter Team Fortress 2.
  • Bone Saw's flavor text, "Time to lose your medical license", is a reference to a quote from the Medic in the video "Meet the Medic".
