Slots are various NPCs or machines that can be interacted with. Usually an interaction requires some type of resource to be consumed in order to gain something else in return.

Swine Beggar

Swine Beggars are a new type of Beggar that can sometimes replace regular Beggars, and can be created by using Meat Grinder Meat Grinder.

  • When interacted with, a Swine Beggar will take 5 coins and give one of the following rewards in return:
    • 35% chance for 6 - 9 random Blue Flies and Blue Spiders.
    • 30% chance for a random Capsule.
    • 20% chance for a random trinket.
    • 15% chance for a random item, and have the Swine Beggar disappear.
  • Every time a specific Swine Beggar is played, it will reduce the chance of spawning Blue Flies or Blue Spiders by 10%, and increase the chance of spawning an item by 10%.
    • In effect, Swine Beggars are guaranteed to pay out with an item after being played 10 times, which would require 50 coins.
  • Swine Beggars can be killed with an explosion, or by using Bone Saw Bone Saw. Upon death, they will drop two File:Penny.png Pennies and either a random Capsule (30% chance) or 2-4 Minicapsules (70% chance), and a seperate 1% chance of dropping Ham Ham.

Demonic Swine Beggar

Demonic Swine Beggars are a sub-variant of Swine Beggar.png Swine Beggar exclusive to UI CoopIcon Mammon.png Mammon. They will replace any items that cost heart containers in the Devil Rooms.

  • When interacted with, Demonic Swine Beggars will take away half of Mammon's coins (rounded up) and spawn a random item from the Demon Swine Pool Icon.png Demon Swine item pool, then leave immediately.
    • Items spawed by Demonic Swine Beggars will still cost health.
    • Demonic Swine Beggars can be interacted with as long as the player has at least 1 coin.
  • When killed, Demonic Swine Beggars do not drop anything.

Angelic Swine Beggar

Angelic Swine Beggars are a sub-variant of Swine Beggar.png Swine Beggar exclusive to UI CoopIcon Mammon.png Mammon. They will replace any items that cost heart containers in the Angel Rooms.

  • When interacted with, Angelic Swine Beggars will take away half of Mammon's coins (rounded up) and spawn a random item from the Angel Swine Pool Icon.png Angel Swine item pool, then leave immediately.
    • Angelic Swine Beggars can be interacted with as long as the player has at least 1 coin.
  • When killed, Angelic Swine Beggars do not drop anything.

Daedalus Statue

The Daedalus Statue is a structure exclusive to UI CoopIcon Icarus.png Icarus. It appears in the middle of the starting room of every floor.

  • When approached, the candle of the statue will light up and will cause Icarus to take damage if touched.
    • This damage will not count against Devil Deal chance or affect items such as Paschal Candle.png Paschal Candle.
  • Each time Icarus takes damage from the candle, there's a chance, proportional to his Sun Curse, that a Wax Feather or Pitch Feather will drop next to the statue
    • Wax Feathers will drop if Icarus' Wax Wing Wax Wing is broken, Pitch Feathers will drop otherwise.

Gashapon

Gashapons are a new type of Slot Machine that can be randomly encountered throughout the run.

  • Gashapons have a 1/16 chance to replace default Slot Machine.png Slot Machines, any can occasionally be found in Arcade room layouts.
  • When interacted with, a Gashapon will consume 5 coins and then grant one of the following rewards:

Interactions

  • Lucky Foot.png Lucky Foot: Decreases the drop rate of Capsules by 10%, and increases the chance for the Gashapon to explode and drop an item by 10%.
  • Branded Bowtie Branded Bowtie: Doubles the chance for Gashapons to replace Slot Machines

Butapon

Butapons are a variant of Gashapon, and were introduced as a swansong for the The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ edition of Retribution.

  • In Retribution's final update for The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+, The Gacha Update, a "Thank you for playing" message would appear on-screen offering players 3 free pulls on the Butapon for their first run in the Gacha Update.
    • The Gacha Update was released roughly a week after the release of Repentance.
    • There is a setting in Retribution's options that when enabled will allow a Butapon to spawn in the next run, before turning itself off again.
  • Butapons always spawn a random Capsule when played, and disappear after being played 3 times.

Red Pillar

Red Pillars are a type of pseudo-grid spawned by owning Red Chain Red Chain.

  • Red Pillars can be unlocked using a key, and spawn a portal to a random Red Key.png Red Key room.

Interactions

Curse Trader

The Curse Trader is an NPC exclusive to UI CoopIcon T Mammon.png Tainted Mammon that appears in Shops.

  • When interacted with, the Curse Trader will remove all Cursed Trinkets in every player's possession, spawn coins equal to their sell value, and then disappear.
  • Curse Traders will always pay out with the largest denomination coins possible for each type of trinket traded.
  • Curse Traders trade trinkes based on a priority system:
    • Grab Bag Grab Bag always trades first.
    • Most Cursed Trinkets trade after Grab Bag.
    • Crow Mask Crow Mask will always trade 2nd to last.
    • 12-Gauge Clay 12-Gauge Clay will always trade last.

Bougie Pedestal

The Bougie Pedestal is a pseudo-item pedestal spawned in UI CoopIcon T Mammon.png Tainted Mammon's shops when he has Birthright.png Birthright.

  • Bougie Pedestals offer items from the Bougie Pedestal Pool Icon.png Bougie Pedestal item pool for 25 coins.
    • Bougie Pedestals are affected by discounts the same as any other item pedestal would be.
  • Bougie Pedestals can be blown up to be destroyed and drop a trinket from the Bougie Pedestal Pool Icon.png Bougie Pedestal trinket pool.
    • This can be done either before or after purchasing the item that's on offer.
    • Blowing up the Bougie Pedestal before purchasing its item will prevent Mammon from being able to purchase the item.
