Empiric is a passive item added in the initial release of Retribution.
Effects
- Transforms all pills into Horse Pills.
- Naturally spawned horse pills are converted into
Whale Pills instead, while File:Golden Horse Pill.png Golden Horse Pills are converted into 
Golden Whale Pills.
- Naturally spawned horse pills are converted into
- All pills, including those that were previously identified, will become permanently unidentified.
- Spawns a random horse pill after being picked up.
Interactions
- File:Starter Deck.png Starter Deck: The card spawned by Starter Deck after it has been picked up will become a
Whale Card. All other cards are not affected by Empiric.
Trivia
- Whale Pills are a reference to an episode of Spongebob Squarepants, "Mid-Life Crustacean", where Mr. Krabs is forced to swallow a giant pill.
