The Iliad is an active item added in The Repentance Update.

Effects

• On use, causes Isaac to hold the item above his head. Pressing a direction to shoot tears while holding the item up causes a wall of spears to be launched from the wall opposite of the pressed direction, spanning the whole room.
  • Each spear pierces through enemies and deals 50 damage, and break upon impact with obstacles.

Notes

• The number of spears that can appear is equal to the number of available tiles along the span of the wall; larger rooms will produce more spears.

• The Iliad is an ancient epic poem, purportedly authored by the Greek poet Homer.
  • Much of the books in The Iliad tell tales of the mythical hero Achilles, who fought against the Trojans in the Trojan War.
