Pride Pin is a Passive Item added in the Repentance Update of Retribution.

• Tears cycle through a set of Retribution tear effets.
  • A new effect is chosen every 5 seconds.
• The following items can have their tear effects mimicked by Pride Pin:

  • Reflux.
  • Soy Bean.
  • Devil's Tooth.
  • Melitodes.
  • Booster Shot.
  • Milk Teeth.

Notes

• Pride Pin only grants the tear effect of a mimicked item, if an item has stat changes or a chance factor for its effect they are both ignored.
• Whenever Pride Pin changes to a new item effect, its costume changes to show a new pride flag.

Interactions

• The Forgotten / Berserk! / Mom's Knife / Aquarius: Whenever a mimicked item can apply an effect to Clubs, Knives, or Aquarius, it can also be applied by Pride Pin.

• The flavor text "Kinsey tears" is a reference to Alfred Kinsey, a controversial researcher into human sexuality from the early 1900s.
  • Retribution also features a second reference to the work of Alfred Kinsey, in the form of a joke Kinsey Scale in the mod's options menu.
