Shattered Dice is an active item added in the initial release of Retribution.
Effects
- On use, or if Shattered Dice is dropped, the item is destroyed and spawns a
Shattered Shard and 3 coins. - While held, picking up items will immediately reroll them, attempting to reroll them into items in the same item pool whose item quality is higher than the original.
- In effect, an item with a quality of 0 will be rerolled into an item with a quality of at least 1, an item with a quality of 1 will be rerolled into an item with a quality of at least 2, et cetera.
Interactions
Book of Virtues: Activating Shattered Dice spawns six gold-colored coin wisps in the outer ring that each spawn a File:Penny.png Penny when destroyed.
Judas + 
Birthright: Activating Shattered Dice will reroll all items in the room into those in the 
Devil Room item pool with a minimum quality of 2.
Trivia
- Shattered Dice's aesthetic is inspired by Kintsugi, a Japanese art-form revolving around embracing an object's history by repairing its damage with a gold, silver, or platinum-filled lacquer.
